In the past time, no serious attention was paid towards child’s education and overall development because at that time the parents were not aware about the value of education. Even in Ancient India, parents of girls Once used to think that if they would send their daughters to schools, then nobody would marry them. Even they preferred to assign domestic chores to their sons inspite of sending them to the schools. But as it is said that nothing but change is permanent. So in the present era of Globalisation, awareness about the value of education can clearly be seen in parents, which was also need of the hour.

Teaching learning process is an art in itself Generally, it was conducted bi-dimentional but that is not true. Actually, it is a trio-dimentional process. In which students , teachers and parents play equally important role and parents teacher meeting helps to cover the distance among these three stakeholders. Learning is a life-long process.So though child starts learning right from his birth yet he/she has to attend the school to get formal education His/ her learning outcomes depend on his/her mental abilities as well as the co-ordination between his/her teachers and parents.

When child gets admission in the school he/she is like a raw material so it is the moral responsibility of the teacher to mould his/her character in the desired directions.Here teacher works as a guide and mentor for them. All the parents desire to see their children as doctors, engineers and I.A.S.officers but unfortunately majority of parents don’t bother to know what does their child want to be? or what interests/ability he/she do have. A good teacher always makes a case study to discover his/her students latent qualities, interests and abilities to share and discuss all these details with his/her parents to provide proper guidance to him/her. So, PTM plays an essential role in enhancing a child’s education.So active participation in PTM where as will help the students it would also help our country to achieve a higher rate of literacy.
